The closest airport to Hoi An is Da Nang International (DAD), 23 km from our map pin in a straight line. Hoi An has no airport with scheduled service in our data. The next two, Chu Lai (VCL) at 67 km and Phu Bai (HUI) at 88 km, are real alternatives only if your flight happens to land there.
Our map has one pin for Hoi An and Da Nang together, so these distances are measured from that pin, not from the old town. They are straight-line figures from OurAirports, which is public domain and offers no guarantee of accuracy.
| Airport | Code | Straight-line distance |
|---|---|---|
| Da Nang International Airport | DAD | 23 km |
| Chu Lai Airport | VCL | 67 km |
| Phu Bai International Airport | HUI | 88 km |
Phu Bai is the airport for Hue. The airports guide lists Hue's nearest three, and Da Nang International comes second on that list, 80 km from the Hue pin. If you are choosing between the two cities as a base, Hue or Da Nang compares them.
Straight-line distance tells you which airport is closest, not how long the ride takes. The road from Da Nang to Hoi An is longer than 23 km, and we have no sourced road distance, taxi fare, bus timetable or transfer time, so we do not give any. Ask your hotel or a transfer operator for the time and price on your date.
Da Nang is one of the seven stations we copied from the Vietnam Railways timetable for the Reunification Express. We did not find Hoi An among them, so this article does not describe a train to Hoi An itself. The trains below run between Hue and Da Nang, scheduled times from the timetable, and the journey takes 2 h 33 min to 3 h 16 min.

We pick the closest airport to Hoi An from a list of airports with scheduled service. It does not say which airlines fly to them, how often, or on which days, so check an airline for your route and dates. It also does not say whether Chu Lai or Phu Bai has any service from where you are starting. The regulation behind the weather table does not state its observation period.
